Here’s another shot of my pap en route to the Western Pacific Theater of Operations. While traveling through the South Pacific, the USS General H.W. Butner made stops in Hawaii, Kwajalein Atoll, Guam, and Samar, Philippines before arriving in Manila, Philippines on October 15, 1946.
