Looks like Pap is taking a little break here on his bench outside one of the buildings in Manila, presumably one of those occupied by the U.S. Army (the kitchen?). I like the shadow of the palm fronds in the background – it looks like it was a sunny day. I swear, my pap still makes that same face today.
