It’s a little blurry, but here is a shot of an unidentified serviceman at the camp near Bowling Green, Virginia where my pap completed his bivouac training. I did a quick MapQuest search and Fort A.P. Hill is about three hours from where my pap completed his basic training at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.
Fort A.P. Hill continues to be a regional training center in its over 70 years of existence. In fact, close to 100,000 Warriors pass through its gates each year, many of who are a plane ride away from combat.

Also, thank you for your service!!! 🙂
I am hoping I might have some additional pictures of Fort A.P. Hill… I will have to keep digging through pictures and see if my Pap might recognize it in some of them.
